This cleverly compares the scene on the screen with a built-in database of images to replicate minute details such as texture. If you want to see things the way the director intended then excellent colour is vital. It must be life-like, which is where X-Reality picture technology comes in to play, enhancing colour as well as detail. But the difference between great colour and breathtaking, real-life colour is contrast – that's what sets the HX8 with Colour + apart from the crowd. If it cannot progress between different images, called frames, quickly enough the result is movement becomes juddery or blurred. On the majority of our TVs we improve the appearance of movement on the screen with our motion technology. This smooths the sequences between images and reduces blur.
